Institution Introduction

Founded in 2014, Paris-Saclay University is a world-renowned research university located in Saclay, in the southern suburbs of Paris. It was established through the merger of:

· Paris-Sud University (Paris XI) – Member of the League of European Research Universities (LERU)

· Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines University

· CentraleSupélec (Top Engineering School in France)

· Institut d'Optique Graduate School

· French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS), French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA)

· Several other research institutes

The university has a campus spanning 1,350 acres, with 60,000 students and 10,500 researchers.

Paris-Saclay IUT Prebachelor Programme

The IUT Programme includes four technical institutes:

· IUT de Sceaux, IUT de Orsay, IUT de Cachan (formerly part of Paris-Sud University)

· IUT de Vélizy (formerly part of Versailles University)

After completing two years at the IUT, students can:

· Transfer directly into the third year of a Bachelor's (Licence 3) programme

· Apply for admission into a top business school (for Business majors)

· Transfer to an engineering school (for Science & Engineering majors)

Over 50% of Science & Engineering students progress to the Paris-Saclay Engineering School in their third year.

Paris-Saclay Prebachelor Timeline

· June 2025 – Gaokao Examination

· Late June 2025 – Application Submission

· Early July 2025 – Admission Notification

· Mid-July 2025 – Domestic Prebachelor Courses Begin

· November 2025 – French Language Test

· December 2025 – Visa Preparation & Application

· February 2026 – Six-Month Prebachelor Programme at Paris Cité University

· April 2026 – Second Application to Paris-Saclay University

· September 2026 – Start of Bachelor’s Degree at Paris Cité University
